Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

  • Fill out this application form to be the initial applicant. Include the evidence of a change in address or other details.
  • If the applicants don't possess proof of the change of address, he may certify the forms to the following individuals
    • Gazetted Officer - Group A
    • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
    • Gazetted Officer - Group B
    • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
    • Tehsildar
    • Head of Recognized Education Institution
    • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
    • Shelter houses/Orphanages that are recognized as shelter houses
    • Officer EPFO
  • If you do, then visit the nearest Aadhaar Center along with this application form that you can use to request the alteration of your address and also submit an application online for the Address change by submitting your Aadhaar number via this address change link

UIDAI permits the users of Aadhaar cardsto change their address with no need for documentation. Aadhaar cardholders were allowed to change their address if they did not provide documents proving their identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily suspended a crucial service that lets you change the address of your Aadhaar card's address, without document of your address.

UIDAI lets customers of Aadhaar cards to change their address without the need for documentation. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address as long as they accept the authenticity by the verifier of their address. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative landlord, family member or even a friend who will allow the Aadhaar card user to verify their address.

UIDAI has stopped using this feature. UIDAI responds to an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the ability to update address on Aadhaar Card through an Address Validation Certificate has been ended. UIDAI has asked to the Aadhaar issuer to notify the user that they can update their address using a valid PoA document.

UIDAI lists the following documents among the POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that include Name and Address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not more than 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older than 3 months)

Check your Credit Card Balance (not older than 3 month).

Photograph of signature and signature of registered company on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Travel documents of parents (in instance of minors)

Central/ State Govt. Initiated an allotment to accommodate. (Not longer than three years)

Bhamashah/Jan Aadhaar card issued Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate from the Superintendentor WardenMatron/ Head Of Institution of shelter homes recognized by UIDAI, orphanages etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
